Flounces

At the library yesterday I stumbled across a book on fabric manipulation and it made me keen to try a few things. The first was flounces as opposed to ruffles on a skirt. My mum tried to enthuse me about these last time she came for a visit but I must admit it seemed a little complicated for my mind to envisiage. However backed up by a book I felt ready to take the the plunge.

Here is my flounce experiment. A result of more brain work. As opposed to the drafting workout my strawberry pinafore gave me, this one was pure maths dealing with a radius and circumference. 

This is the final version fully accessorised and how we left the house today.
