New sewing machine

Okay so the reason for this post is as follows: I have a friend who got a new sewing machine for her birthday and hasn't sewn before . I am a big fan of pinterest and have been pinning away quite a lot of things for children's sewing inspiration including lots of online patterns and want to share with her (she doesn't share my pinteresting). So here are my best patterns that I have pinned for a beginning sewer. They all include the actual patterns, no drafting.

Dana from Made has this easy knit t-shirt size 4-5 pattern. She showed it during celebrate the boy but I think it would work just as well for a girl.

This is the central park swing coat by Destri from over at the Mother Huddle. Sizes 3-5.

Susan from Living with Punks guest posted these at see Kate sew. Sizes 3-4 but would be very easy to upsize. 

Another pattern by Dana at made. Basic pants for size 2-3.

This is a ribbon gathered skirt by brandy Canyon for sizes 5-6

Fleece children's pants, I am not sure whose pattern this is but I have linked to their website Fleece Fun  sizes 2-8

Ruffle leg shorts by Mira from Sewing the Little heart collection. Size 3-4

Bubble dress from straightgrain sizes 2-8

This dress is from Anna Maria Horner and is sizes 2-8. Maybe a little on the hard side but very easy to follow instructions.
