I was meant to be heading off to my nephews 1st birthday party today but inclement weather means we have postponed until next week. Luckily my contribution of these pretty little gingerbread biscuits should keep. I was thinking of snips and snails and puppy dog tails, 5 little ducks and the hungry hungry catterpiller at the outset and if I may say myself these ones hit the mark.
And I must say here and now I love, love, love edible glitter. It is very hard for me to make something for the kids that does not sparkle- and they seem to appreciate it as much as I do. I have been reading Sugarbelle's blog of late and would love to be able to create as she does. I think however that I am not skilled enough at drawing to ever be truly proficient. These are my third attempt at royal icing, better than my last but still a long way to go. Thankfully glitter covers a multitude of sins.
I also did some sewing, this is the present... I am just going to leave you with the view of the outside you will need to wait for the next post to see what is on the inside and no it is not a change mat, at 1 I hardly think he would stay still long enough for his mother to use it. So what have I made???
Oh, that is sneaky! Making us wait for the next post. Great biscuits though. Must try that glitter someday...
